How to forward calls to Noa. Step by step.

You keep your number. Customers call the way they always have, and your phone passes the call on to Noa – always, or only when you don't get to it. Here's how.

With Noa Voice you keep your number. We buy a Danish number for you and set Noa up on it. Then you forward your own number to Noa's – and customers call the number they've always used. It takes a few minutes.

01Find Noa's number

Once we've set the line up, the number is shown in the app under Noa Voice. That's the number you forward to. In the examples below it appears as +4535XXXXXX – use your own instead.

02Choose: always, or only when you don't pick up

There are two ways to do it, and they suit different working days:

  • Always. Every call goes straight to Noa. She answers, and transfers to you when it's you who should take it. Good if the phone interrupts you all day.
  • Only when busy, unanswered or switched off. Your phone rings first. If you don't take it, the call moves on to Noa. Good if you'd like to take most calls yourself.

03The standard codes for a mobile phone

On most mobile plans you switch forwarding on by dialling a code and pressing call. These are the standard (GSM) codes, but several Danish providers differ – find yours in section 4.

WhenSwitch onSwitch off
Always**21*+4535XXXXXX###21#
Unanswered**61*+4535XXXXXX###61#
Busy**67*+4535XXXXXX###67#
Switched off or no signal**62*+4535XXXXXX###62#
All three above at once**004*+4535XXXXXX###004#
Remove all forwarding at once with ##002#. Check what's switched on with *#21# (always) or *#61# (unanswered).

How long should the phone ring first?

For "unanswered", many providers accept a number of seconds at the end: **61*+4535XXXXXX**20# lets the phone ring for about 20 seconds before Noa takes it. How many seconds you can choose depends on the provider – at most 30 at Oister, 10–60 at Norlys Erhverv.

iPhone and Android

Both also have call forwarding in the settings (on iPhone under Phone → Call Forwarding). It usually only switches on "always". If you want "unanswered", the code is the safe route.

04The codes at TDC, Telenor, Telia, 3 and the rest

The standard codes above don't work everywhere. TDC Erhverv has its own star codes, Norlys Erhverv swaps "on" and "off", and some providers only list the "always" code on their help pages. Here is what the providers themselves say. Where it says "check with", we couldn't find the code on the provider's own page – and we don't guess.

TDC Erhverv (mobile)

WhenSwitch onSwitch off
Always*72 + number*73
Busy*90 + number*91
Unanswered*92 + number*93
No # at the end: for 12345678 you dial *7212345678 and press call. Wait for the voice confirmation.

TDC says voicemail must be switched off first (*410, *400 and *210) and that the star codes only work in Denmark. Forwarding can also be set up in TDC's Assist app and in Selvbetjeningen. On landlines TDC uses the classic codes: *21*number# (always), *67*number# (busy) and *61*number# (unanswered), switched off with #21#, #67# and #61# – if your plan allows forwarding.

YouSee (consumer)

YouSee describes mobile forwarding in the app, not with codes: Mit YouSee → the arrow by the number → Indstillinger → switch forwarding on → choose when → choose another number. On the landline the codes are *21*number# for always and *61*number# for unanswered; switch off with #21# and #61#. Mobile codes: check with YouSee.

Telenor

Telenor gives the code for forwarding all calls as *21*number# (one star) and switches it off with #21#. Forwarding all calls is an add-on with its own price, ordered from Telenor. Codes for only unanswered, busy or switched off aren't on the page – check with Telenor. On Telenor's Telefoni via internet the codes are *21*number#, *67*number# and *61*number*seconds#, switched off with #21#, #67# and #61#.

Telia

Telia's help pages now redirect to Norlys' customer service, and we found no page with Telia's own codes. Try the standard codes above, and check with Telia/Norlys if they don't work.

3

3 says you can forward all calls, when switched off or out of coverage, when unanswered (choosing how long the phone rings) and when busy – and points to a guide per phone model. The codes aren't on the page itself: check with 3.

Norlys Erhverv (mobile)

WhenSwitch onSwitch off
Always*21*number**21
Unanswered or no coverage*61*number**61
Busy*67*number**67
Unanswered, no coverage and busy*004*number**004
Note: at Norlys Erhverv one star switches on and two stars switch off – the reverse of the standard. Finish with the call key. Ring time: *61*number**seconds (10–60 s).

For consumer mobile plans we didn't find Norlys' codes – check with Norlys. On Norlys landlines the codes are *21*number#, *67*number# and *61*number#, switched off with #21#, #67# and #61#. The wait before "unanswered" is changed with *80*seconds# (10–60, default 20).

Oister

WhenSwitch onSwitch off
Always**21*+45number###21#
Unanswered**61*+45number###61#
Switched off or no coverage**62*+45number###62#
Busy**67*+45number###67#
Unanswered, off and busy**004*+45number###002#
Oister writes the number with +45. The phone can ring for at most 30 seconds before forwarding. Check status with *#21#.

Oister says Mobilsvar must be switched off in Mit OiSTER before you can forward to another number.

CBB and Lebara

We couldn't confirm the codes on CBB's or Lebara's own help pages (CBB's code page has been removed, and Lebara's page couldn't be fetched). Try the standard codes above – and check with CBB or Lebara if they don't work.

05Landlines, VoIP and phone systems

If you have a landline or a business phone system, forwarding is usually managed in your provider's self-service or by whoever runs your system. Ask for the main number to be forwarded to Noa's number – always or when unanswered – and mention any queue or welcome message that needs switching off.

06Three pitfalls

  • Voicemail. Your mobile voicemail is itself a forward on "unanswered". Forwarding to Noa replaces it – that's the point, but be aware of it. At TDC Erhverv and Oister, voicemail must be switched off first. Keeping voicemail somewhere? See 15 examples of a good voicemail greeting.
  • Don't go round in circles. When Noa transfers, she calls the numbers you've given her for each person. Use people's own mobile numbers – not the number that forwards to Noa, or the call lands back with her.
  • The price at your phone company. Some plans charge for forwarded calls. That's up to your provider – check your plan.

07Test it

Call your own number from another phone. With "always", Noa should answer straight away. With "unanswered", your phone should ring first and Noa take it afterwards. The call should then appear in the inbox as an inquiry.

The checklist

  • Noa's number from the app (under Noa Voice)
  • Chosen: always, or only when unanswered/busy
  • Code dialled – or your provider has set it up
  • Transfers point to people's own numbers, not the main number
  • Checked whether forwarding costs anything on your plan
  • Test call from another phone – and found in the inbox
